Preble County Engineer
It is our mission to design, build and maintain the county's infrastructure in a fiscally responsible and accountable manner. We strive to ensure safety to the citizens of Preble County while supporting the continued growth of a strong and healthy local economy.
I was born and raised in Dixon Township south of West Florence. Growing up on a small farm raising beef cattle I was instilled with a strong work ethic and a heightened sense of responsibility. I was also very active in numerous activities, including 4-H and sports, and found out very quickly the importance of time management to balance these activities with my education. Upon graduation from high school I attended Ohio Northern University and earned a degree in Civil Engineering prior to joining the work force.
My career choice has been an interesting journey. I began in Columbus designing airports, then to Canton, followed by Dayton managing a materials testing and foundation engineering firm. Each of these stops put me closer to being back home. In 2007 this journey came full circle when I began working at the Preble County Engineer's Office.
Upon graduation from Eaton High School is 1997 I furthered my eduation at Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio where I received a Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering in 2001. I have taken additional classes in Surveying at Sinclair Community College and Cincinnati State Technical College.
I currently reside in Lakengren with my wife, Jennifer, and three sons Braden, Ethan and Dylan. We also have three dogs, Benny, Lucy, and Tilly.
